The founders of Roof Space
Hi, we are Immanuel Schneider and Jakob Heider two childhood friends who have known each other since our elementary school days and have traveled a lot together. We share a passion for travel and a love for the great outdoors, which inspired us to develop a roof tent that meets and exceeds our own requirements and leaves no room for compromise. Immanuel brings his engineering expertise and a passion for tinkering and perfecting to the project. Jakob, on the other hand, contributes his commercial know-how and motivation to the team, motivation, excels at structuring and organizing the business.
Founded in a garage
Our journey began in 2020, in a classic startup setting: a garage. We had a vision of what we wanted to achieve, and were ready to learn and grow. "Learning by doing" and "Trial and Error" became our guiding principles, and we embraced them wholeheartedly. We designed our first tents and quickly moved on to create another prototype, iterating through several stages, each attempt bringing new features.

The first crowdfunding campaign
By 2022, they had completed our first development carrier and were eager to hear more feedback. So we started a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for the production of those. We were blown away! The campaign exceeded expectations in every way, not just financially but also in terms of community engagement. We were able to share our passion and vision of freedom and adventure, gaining global recognition in the press. While production and delivery of the tents began, we continued to refine the design based on feedback from the first 100 customers.
ROOF SPACE 2
Thanks to this feedback, we were able to develop the Roof Space 2, the tent for two people! It features quieter zippers, a connection for an auxiliary heater, and covers for the aluminum bars. When everything else is right, it's the details that make all the difference. Roof Space 2 is a sophisticated tent, reflecting the love and passion that went into its development!
