Very well built and thought out!
I recently returned from a three-day camping trip where I tested this new tent. The setup and takedown process was impressively quick, taking only 10 minutes in total. I anticipate that with more practice, I could do this even faster. However, despite the advantages, there was a significant issue.
A small gap at the center of the tent, where the two halves join, leads to the outside. Although covered by an external flap, this design flaw had unfortunate consequences. My campsite had a few harmless brown beetles, which became an issue when they entered the tent at night. A thorough check revealed manufactured holes near the tent's hinge, allowing the beetles easy access. I've taken two photos: one with the flap closed and another showing the gap. Tucking the bungee cord corners beneath the aluminum shell helped, but some beetles still penetrated the rain guard.
I suggest that RoofSpace consider designing a Velcro cover for this gap to keep insects out. Aside from this issue, the tent performed wonderfully. The ventilation prevented condensation, the mattress struck a perfect balance between comfort and support, and the material of the tent effectively blocked sunlight, facilitating restful sleep even during the day.

Very well built, easy to setup, comfortable and plenty room ( for two adults)...This is my first rooftop tent and I'm glad I bought this product. Thanks for Ryan to respond to me very quickly to answer all my questions.
I purchased the roof space tent mainly because it would fit over the short bed of my Tundra without hanging over the back, or having to hang over the roof.
The quality is excellent and the build is solid.
It's easy to set up — it took me a few times to get the steps down, but I'd guess I could get it up and down in less than 5 minutes.
There is plenty of room for 2 with space for some gear.
The included mattress is a little firm for my liking, but I think I can resolve that pretty easily and there's plenty of room to add a mattress topper or another pad to augment it.
I am looking forward to lots of adventures with this setup!
A lot of people are going to talk about the ease of set-up and build quality (both of which are phenomenal) but I want to touch on some less talked about features that for me, sets this tent apart.
First off, as an owner of a mid-size truck with a 5ft bed, there is not another easy deploy hard top tent with that much sleeping space that doesn't stick out past the tailgate or sides of the truck when closed, which is a huge plus for anyone concerned about space and aerodynamics on the road.
The black-out material is one of the best I've seen. It's dark (really dark) and even with a near full moon, there was almost zero light pollution, and we normally wake up immediately when the sun starts to come up but it was dark enough that we didn't wake up until well after sunrise.
Another feature that sets the Roof Space 2 apart is that each tent comes with a unique serial number. With the theft of roof top tents increasing (especially in larger metropolitan and urban areas) having a serial number allows for easy identification if you end up being a victim of theft. This is something that I haven't seen in any other rooftop tent.
Overall, the Roof Space 2 is an outstanding investment for any outdoor enthusiast. Its compact size, exceptional blackout capabilities, and attention to detail make it a standout choice in the world of rooftop tents. Highly recommended!
